How to Join Windows 10 under Azure AD

Microsoft is the one of the best in IT market just because products they are offering from very long time. They have already captured the IT market completely and still gaining more user every years with exciting products.

If you looking for home computer, business computer or any other kind of computer, name comes in our mind is Microsoft.It is actually very user friendly.

Now they are in the market with their latest OS windows 10 and also providing the cloud serves named Microsoft Azure. I am sure, sooner or later they are going to capture cloud platform completely.

Earlier we used to join system in domain with the different way because we were using on premises Server who was providing domain services to clients.Although, most of the companies are still using this old way of the Domain structure but as we all know we are moving into cloud platform and many customers are interested in this because of less physical interference in it.

Microsoft Windows 10  is build to join under Azure AD. We can join our machine with the server hosted in Azure without any extra patch installations.
I am going to share some steps which could help you guys to understand the process.

Most important: We can only join Windows 10 Pro edition under Azure AD. We are not allowed to Home edition use to Azure AD configuration on it.

There are two steps to join machine under Azure AD. 

Step 1: You can Join Windows 10 Pro machine under Axure AD during the OS installation process.

• Start the Windows 10 Pro Installation process as usual. 
• During the installation you will get How would you like to set up? option.
• Choose the Set Up for An organization. as mentioned below.

   

• Enter your email Address who have access to join the system into the domain.

 

• In this, administrator decided that we need to use two way authentication factor for windows login using Windows Hello for Business feature. Therefore, we we will setup the PIN code which help us to login into the system. After entering the PIN code, we will click on finish tab.

• After all this setup and login into the system after entering PIN code into it. Please open the settings to verify that this machine has been joined under the Azure AD. Please click on settings and than click on Access Work or School option from left panel area under setting windows. You will get the below kind of screen for the same.

Which clear us that machine has been connected with the Azure AD. settings should be like mentioned into the above screen shot.

Step 2: Follow the below mentioned steps if you want to join the machine which is already configured with the Windows 10 OS but not under the Azure AD Domain.

• For this, we will go to the settings and than accounts. Please click on the Access Work or School option from the list and click on Connect option as mentioned below in the screen shot.

• Press the Join this Device to Azure Active Directory as mentioned below in screenshot.

• Enter your email account and then on the next screen you will update your password. You will be join under Azure AD domain and you will get below mentioned screen on your desktop.

You can restart your computer once however its not mandate but it will refreshed all the settings applied through Azure AD.
